FIA World Endurance Championship - LMGTE Am
Britisg GT4 Champion 2012 and European Le Mans Series GTE Champion 2017; Jody Fannin is a top driver and a great additin to the Walero athlete roser.
Jody started racing karts at the age of 12, winning races and championships at club and national level in the UK. Before moving onto cars in 2010 in the Ginetta Junior Championship. Jody was the only rookie to achieve race wins, and finish fourth overall in the championship.
He moved up to senior racing the following year. Finishing third in the Ginetta G50 class of the Ginetta GT Super-cup before moving on to endurance racing, in the British GT Championship in 2012. After a dominant season, Jody wrapped up the title and won the championship with a round to spare!
After a successful test with JRM (manufacturer of the Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3), in 2013 Jody was given the opportunity to race GT3 machinery. Racing in various European Championships for JRM and their customer teams with a best result of fourth place for JMB Racing at Paul Ricard.
In 2014, Jody scored his first international GT3 victory with a win in the International GT Open at Silverstone, in an Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3. Then joined TF Sport for a British GT campaign in 2015 where he scored 1 pole and 2 podiums. A successful 2016 season ended with a podium in the International GT Open at Barcelona for Italian team, Solaris Motorsport. At the end of the season Jody was made a full member of the prestigious British Racing Drivers’ Club.
2017 marked a step up to the European Le Mans Series with JMW Motorsport in the GTE class. Jody scored a memorable last international win for the Ferrari 458 GTE at Monza in his first race at the legendary venue, before going on to win the ELMS championship in the Ferrari 488 GTE.
Following his succession in 2017, 2018 heralded a move to the VLN championship around the famous Nurburgring Nordschleife with Walkenhorst Motorsport. As a result of obtaining his Nordschleife Permit by doing the requisite races in lower class cars, Jody soon moved up to the BMW M6 GT3 where he impressed on debut with a second place in the SP9 PRE class.
Fannin took on two championships in 2019 in the BMW M6 GT3 – VLN at the Nurburgring Nordschleife with Walkenhorst Motorsport and the China GT Championship with AAI Motorsports.
In 2020 & 2021, Jody moved to the European Le Mans Series, racing at circuits such as Spa-Francorchamps and Monza. Jody also made his debut at the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2021, racing a Ferrari 488 GTE Evo with JWW Motorsport.
In 2022, Jody competed in various VLN events for Racing One in their iconic Ferrari 488 GT3 machine at the legendary ‘Green Hell’ once more, where he would rack up some mightily impressive race finishes and a podium place in NLS 7.
For 2023, Jody continued with Racing One in their Ferrari 296 GT3, where he built upon his impressive 2022 VLN and NLS campaigns with multiple podium and points finishes in some of the toughest endurance races on the racing calendar.
