Liona Theobald

Liona joins the Walero athlete roster as one of the two selected winners of our 2024 Be The Next Walero Athlete Competition, where she impressed the team with her determination and ongoing success behind the wheel.

Liona started racing when she was 15 in Ginetta Juniors, which was her first ever taste of competitive motorsport! Finishing the season, she switched to competing in a round of the Ginetta GT5 series to further bolster her experience.

In 2023, she moved up to the next class of Ginetta Cars, the GT Pro Championship, where she finished 6th overall in the standings, as well as doing a fun filled round in a Caterham 135!

This season she has made the step up to endurance racing. Liona is currently competing in the GT Cup in a Ginetta GT4! For Liona, competing in GT Cup this season is challenging as it’s her first year of endurance racing with driver changes and multiple new aspects of motorsport. However, in her words she is "loving it and each round is about progression and pushing for those podiums!"
